Our selling experience required us to move first and then list our home. We had our home built that included modifications to the floor plan that worked for us, but actually became objections to the potential buyers that viewed our home. After a short time, it became obvious that we needed to make some changes which included moving a wall and door, and then re-tiling. Of course the exact tile was discontinued, but Craig and Stacey were able to get an exact match in a smaller size. They worked with the contractor and made a very successful modification happen. We also replaced the carpet in the office. Craig and Stacey managed to work with the contractors and make these changes quickly and at very reasonable prices. The home was re-listed and sold very quickly. The amount of work needed to get the house in the best saleable condition was tedious, but Craig and Stacey came through with flying colors. This was all done while we were living on the other side of the country. We were very satisfied and appreciative of the great service we received from Team Akers.

We heard about Craig and Stacey from my sister as we had no previous relationship with a realtor...at least not one we'd consider using. My main requirement was that whoever we chose was a professional full-time realtor...not someone who decided they would get a license to sell homes to make some extra money occasionally. We figured starting off with a clean slate with someone new couldn't hurt. We were in a position of 'wanting' to sell our house, but not 'needing' to sell it, so if we didn't think we could get our price, there'd be nothing lost.
Craig and Stacey came to our home to make their 'presentation' and they couldn't have been more prepared. Not only were they ready to 'sell' themselves to us, but already had the basis of a plan to market and sell our house. We all agreed on a listing price and off we went with fingers crossed.
As preparations were made as the listing date approached, Stacey took the time to visit with us to give staging ideas and advice prior to the pictures being taken. We were able to mostly utilize the items and furnishings already in our home by simply rearranging them. Once we were done, we had a number of "why didn't we think of that" moments. Stacey's got great insight for that kind of stuff.
Next came the pictures. The photographer showed up on time and did his thing, then waited until twilight to take some drone pictures. After seeing the incredible results, we were wondering why we were selling this beautiful home.
Once the pictures were received, the 'plan' was set in motion. The listing hit MLS as "Coming Soon" and we immediately received a couple of "can we see it early" requests. We didn't deny anyone and ended up receiving a very flattering offer before it was even "officially" listed on MLS. We accepted the offer and the rest is history. But...
That was only half of our chaotic home selling/buying journey. We quickly needed to find somewhere to move and Stacey made herself available to assist us with finding a home in the area we were looking at...on the completely opposite side of town. We did NOT want to have to move twice, so the trick was to find a new home and close on it in the same timeframe as the transaction on our current home. We were fortunate to be able to find a home that fit our needs, both as a home and in our timeframe.
We all know how stressful buying/selling a home and moving can be and we certainly experienced our share during this process. However, I am completely convinced that it could have been exponentially more stressful had we not had the FULL ENGAGEMENT of our realtor to get us through a very aggressive timeframe. They were always on time and were very communicative through the whole process. We were never left wondering what was going on because of their ability to 'keep us in the loop'.
We (my wife and I) hope to have found our long-term retirement home, so it's not likely we'll be looking to buy or sell another home. But, if we do, we'll certainly not hesitate to contact Craig and Stacey again. Nor will we hesitate to recommend them to anyone asking if we know a realtor. They've set a precedent in my mind that would be difficult for anyone else to match (based on my previous experiences).

We found the Akers team at NextHome Valley when we were looking for a second home in Phoenix as we planned to move from Michigan to Phoenix within a few years. We wanted to get a home while the prices were still low. We accomplished that very easily through Stacey Akers, who worked mostly with buyers. When we moved to Phoenix and got new jobs, our house was too far away from where we really wanted to be. It was then we started working with Craig since he works mostly with sellers. Craig put our house on the market in an area where it was notoriously difficult to sell homes. The market was still not quite up to what it is now, so we expected it to take several months (at least) to sell the home. When Craig called within the first month to tell us we had an offer, we couldn’t believe it. He had created such a professional and detailed market plan, plus priced our house just at the right price point that it made our real estate stick out.
